Alexa or Google Home?
The question is not which one to get. The question is should you get one at all. Once you figure that out, then the choice of which one to get becomes much easier. Technology can be great...when it works. When it doesn't work, it's upsetting. Especially if you don't know why it's not working. The simplest use for an Alexa device or Google Home device is to be able to ask it questions or play music. If that is all you want it for, the choice is much simpler. Flip a coin. If however, you are planning on making it turn on the lights, lock your front door, or adjust your thermostat then the first question we asked is important. Should you go down that road in the first place?
When you think about putting technology in control of things in your house, first ask "is it worth the risk?" The risk being, if it stops working and you don't know how to fix it, then what?
